It's Official: Microsoft officially ends Microsoft Explorer
Microsoft released the first version of Internet Explorer, which was considered a premium paid add-on to Windows 95 in 1995. With the release of Windows 10, Microosoft has officially ended the Internet Explorer and replaced it with Microsoft Spartan.

Spartan provides a more dependable, and discoverable experience with forward thinking features including the ability to annotate on web pages, a distraction-free reading experience like the reader mode on Apple's Safari browser, and integration of Cortana for finding and doing tasks online quicker.

Microsoft releases Windows 10 preview for phones: PC in a phone
Microsoft recently announed Windows 10 Technical Preview for phones is available now for Windows Insiders.
Until now, the Windows Insider app only worked for Microsoft employees. Today, Microsoft flipped the switch so that Windows Phone users who are part of the Insider program can install the first Windows 10 preview build, as long as they have one of the six compatible devices. So, to get the technical preview on your phone, you will have to join the Windows Insider Program.
Microsoft in a recent blog stated that support for more phones will be phased in with each new build, and they will announce which devices are being added when the build comes out. Expect the list to grow slowly at first but expand comprehensively over time. For this first preview build these are the devices supported:
Lumia 630, Lumia 638, Lumia 635, Lumia 730, Lumia 636, Lumia 830.

Microsoft to offer free Windows 10 upgrades
If you are on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone 8.1, you will be eligible for a free upgrade inside the first year of Windows 10. Microsoft made the announcement at an event on its corporate campus. The company promised a new build of Windows 10 next week, and also confirmed that the first build of the operating system for smartphones will be released in February.

Microsoft unveiled a new browser in their January 21 event. The new browser, is codenamed “Project Spartan,” and it will include reading lists, a distraction-free reading mode(like the one in Safari on Macs and iOS devices) and a built-in PDF viewer.
