Meet the Microsoft Edge, Microsoft's new browser

Microsoft is revealing today that the new browser will be called Microsoft Edge. The browser's name, Edge is the same name given to the new rendering engine (EdgeHTML) that Microsoft is using for its Windows 10 browser. It will be the primary browser built into the Windows 10 Operating System.

While Microsoft Edge is the successor to Internet Explorer, the explorer browser will still be around for enterprise customers.

Features:

It has built-in Cortana support.
It has built-in reader, note-taking and sharing features.
The design focuses on simplicity and minimalism.
The rendering engine is called EdgeHTML.
