Facebook Messenger gets Video calling feature

Facebook appears to be on the fast lane and wants to host your next video call with its video calling in Messenger. You can have face-to-face conversations with your friends and the people you care about, via Messenger, just like you would do on Skype, Google Hangouts and Facetime.

You can quickly start a video call from any conversation by simply choosing the video icon in the top right corner of the screen and start a video call right from within an existing Messenger conversation.
Video calling in Messenger is available for calls made from a mobile phone to another mobile phone, even if the two users are not on the same mobile operating system platform.

Video calling in Messenger has been launched for people on iOS and Android in Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, the UK, the US and Uruguay, and will be rolling out to other regions and locales over the coming months.
