Google to Shut down Google Talk on February 16

Google Talk, popularly known as Gtalk, is an instant messaging service that provides both text and voice communication.
In 2013, Google replaced Google Talk client software offerings with those of Google Hangouts and also announced that supports for the application would end after some time.

The Tech Giant has however taken a step further in its plans and has finalised on shutting the platform down on February 16.

Google Talk applications until now, was available for Microsoft Windows, Android, BlackBerry, and Chrome OS operating systems.

And for all those still stuck to it, you can still use it on Valentine's day, February 14. But after that you'll have to move to Hangouts.
