Today at an event in San Francisco, Microsoft announced the next version of its Windows operating system: Windows 10.The name is definitely not in line with expectations as Microsoft jumps from 9 to 10.

Windows 9 expected September 30th

Microsoft recently sent invitations for an event in San Francisco on Sept. 30, where it will show off "what's next for Windows and the enterprise." The company didn't give too much else away, but the presentation will almost undoubtedly include a look at the successor to Windows 8, currently codenamed "Threshold."
